What is the Brazilian Butt Lift?
The Brazilian butt lift in Jackson Heights, Queens, NYC, is a type of butt augmentation procedure which results in a youthful, prominent, perky buttocks and a more sensual body profile.
People of all ages are having the butt lift procedure. It is done by removing fat from selected areas of your body, purifying the fat, then reinjecting selected donor fat cells into your buttocks. The procedure is designed to fill the upper quadrant of your buttocks so that the butt appears lifted and perky. The resulting effect is that the woman appears more attractive and sensuous. An additional benefit of this fat injection method is that you not only get a more shapely buttock, but the area liposuctioned is now much leaner, giving your profile a more sensuous look.
How it works
The buttock is first contoured by performing liposuction in the areas around the buttocks to make them stand out more. Common areas liposuctioned include the back- directly above the butt, the stomach, and the thighs. Note that even the liposuction alone will give your lower body a more attractive look. The fat suctioned from these areas is carefully processed and purified such that only a fraction of the donor fat removed will qualify for re-injection to the buttocks. In order to get enough qualified fat, Dr. Moreano must liposuction at least 2 areas of your body. After liposuction, Dr. Moreano carefully purifies the fat so that only the best donor fat cells are reinjected back into your buttocks for augmentation. Dr. Moreano injects small amounts of purified fat into the upper part of the buttocks and at various depths so that the patient will get the best possible result. For this procedure to be successful, an adequate amount of fat from your body must be available.

Your consultation
Getting a Brazilian butt lift will require a consultation. The visit will allow Dr. Moreano to ask the right questions to achieve the patient’s goals.
The consultation will also ensure that the patient is healthy enough for the procedure and has enough donor fat for it. Dr. Moreano will perform a physical examination, and photographs may be taken for before-and-after purposes. The patient’s medical history will be discussed, and the steps involved in a BBL will be explained in detail.
During the consultation, the patient can ask any questions they may have. Any concerns regarding the procedure can be brought up at this time, including the cost of the procedure and how to best prepare for it.
How long do the fat injections last?
Once all the available fat is processed and all the best fat is injected, you should expect about half of the injected fat to be retained permanently. However, there is variation between different people, and within the same person there could be a slight or major difference in the amount of fat that is retained permanently by your buttocks. Some small thin women do not have enough fat on their body in order to perform the brazilian butt lift procedure. Thus, if a woman does not have enough donor fat, the other butt augmentation option would be silicone butt implants. For butt implants, a small incision is made in the crack between the buttock cheeks. Buttock implants carry a much higher risk than fat injection, thus Dr. Moreano does not perform them.

When can I go back to work after the butt augmentation procedure?
Following either the brazilian butt lift or the butt implants procedure, you must not sit directly on your buttocks for up to three weeks. This ensures for a permanent result. Most people can return to work in 2 weeks. You must wear a special garment (to control swelling) for two weeks. There may be a small amount of swelling for up to 6 weeks. However, you should be able to resume all normal activities at 4 weeks post op. Please remember that the final results of any cosmetic surgery may take up to a few months to be fully appreciated.
